One summer day, Catty Jane went to the lake with her friends.
夏日的一天，Catty Jane 和朋友们一起到湖边玩。
Goose went fishing. Froggy went swimming. Piggy took a nap.
小鹅拿着鱼竿去钓鱼，小青蛙去湖里游泳，小猪却躺在岸边打起盹来。
And Catty Jane sat down to read her newest book.
Catty Jane 找地方坐下，迫不及待地拿出新买的书读了起来。
“Catty Jane,” called Froggy, “come swim with me!”
在湖里游泳的小青蛙喊道：“Catty Jane，来和summerday我一起游泳吧。”
“No, thanks,” she said. “I don’t like to get wet.”
“不了，谢谢。我不想把自己弄湿。”
“Do you want to fish?” asked Goose. “I have an extra pole.”
正在钓鱼的小鹅问道：“你想一起钓鱼吗？我还有一根鱼竿可以借给你用。”
“No, thanks,” said Catty Jane. “I want to finish this story about a princess.”
她说：“不了，谢谢，我想把这个公主的故事看完。”
“Did someone call my name?” asked Piggy, waking up from her nap.
小猪从睡梦中苏醒，走过来问：“有人在叫我的名字吗？”
“No. I said that I’m reading a story about a princess,” replied Catty Jane. “Do you want to hear it?”
Catty Jane 回答道：“没有啊。我刚才说我在读一个关于公主的故事。你想听吗？”
“Oh yes!” cried Piggy.
小猪兴奋地说：“当然想summerday！”
Then Goose put down his fishing pole. Froggy hopped out of the lake. And everybody sat and listened as Catty Jane read the story.
小鹅放下了鱼竿，小青蛙从湖里跳出来，他们都坐下听 Catty Jane 讲故事。
